Ghorsyang School

A 5 hour bus drive away from Kathmandu, the tiny village of Ghorsyang is imbedded in dusty terraced mountains. Most residents live from agricultural activities, owning a shower or even a bathroom is a luxury. After one of the worst earthquakes in Nepalese history hit the country, a lot of homes including the local school were destroyed. 3 years after the destructive earthquake, locals together with the aid agency VolNepal were able to build a school where children form various adjacent villages meet to take classes once again.
